FM Resolutions (Pty) Ltd t/a LekkaLift™ (‘LekkaLift’, ‘we’) provides a ride‑hailing platform connecting passengers with independent drivers.

Identification data (name, phone, email), account credentials, device and app telemetry, location/GPS (for trips), payment references, ratings/feedback, and compliance documents for drivers (licence, PrDP, vehicle details).

3. How We Use Personal Information

To create and manage accounts; match riders and drivers; calculate fares; process payments; prevent fraud and abuse; provide support; improve the service; comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Grounds (POPIA)

Processing is based on: performance of a contract; legal obligation; legitimate interests (e.g., security, service improvement); and consent where required (e.g., marketing).

5. Sharing & International Transfers

We share data with service providers strictly for the purposes above (e.g., Onde for platform hosting; Flocash for payments). Data may be stored in the EU (Germany/Finland/Luxembourg) under GDPR-aligned safeguards. We ensure appropriate protections for cross‑border transfers.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type and legal requirement.

7. Your Rights

Under POPIA you may request access, correction, deletion (where applicable), restriction or objection to processing, and portability (where feasible). Submit requests to info@lekkalift.co.za.
