1. About LekkaLift™

LekkaLift™ is a digital platform that connects passengers with independent, licensed drivers. FM Resolutions (Pty) Ltd acts as an intermediary/agent only and does not provide transport services. Each trip is a separate contract between the passenger and the driver.

2. Eligibility & Account

You must be 18+ to create an account and use payment features. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and ensuring information supplied is accurate and up to date.

3. Booking, Fares and Fees

Fares are calculated by the app using distance and time, subject to a minimum fare. A fixed booking fee may apply per trip. You will see an estimate before confirming a ride. Final fares may vary due to route or waiting time.

4. Payments

Payments are processed via our payment partner (Flocash). By confirming a ride you authorize the applicable fare and fees.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel before a driver is dispatched without charge. Once a driver is on the way or on arrival, a cancellation or no-show fee may apply. Refund requests can be submitted to info@lekkalift.co.za for review.

6. Conduct & Safety

Users must behave respectfully. Abuse, threats, illegal activity or unsafe conduct may result in account suspension. Emergency assistance can be accessed via the SOS feature in the app (where enabled) and/or by contacting local authorities.

7. Driver Independence & Liability

Drivers are independent contractors who are responsible for holding a valid driver’s licence, PrDP, roadworthy certificate and appropriate insurance. LekkaLift™ is not liable for a driver’s acts or omissions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LekkaLift™ excludes indirect, special, or consequential losses.

8. Data Protection (POPIA)

We process personal information in accordance with POPIA. See our Privacy Policy for details of categories, purposes, legal grounds, and your rights.

9. Intellectual Property

All app and website content, trademarks (including LekkaLift™), and materials are owned by or licensed to FM Resolutions (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute content except as permitted by law.

10. Changes to Service

We may update features, pricing and policies from time to time to improve service or comply with law. Material changes will be communicated via the app or website.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error‑free service. Geolocation accuracy may vary.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes should first be raised with info@lekkalift.co.za. If unresolved, the parties may pursue remedies in competent South African courts.
